Runtime: 5 minutes 17 seconds
Directed by Angela Arteritano
Dance film short exploring the concepts of freedom, acceptance, and belonging as it pertains to the Latina identity in the context of exile. the work emerges from an interdisciplinary choreographic process in a contemporary flamenco setting.

Reawakening is a series of acrylic paintings on wood panels. these works emerged from the need to translate every knot in the original installation into a material artwork that could not only generate value, but encapsulate every moment of resolution within the struggle explored in the movement process. The name reawakening developed from the idea of the form's constant transformation. As soon as the knot touches the wood panel it becomes something else. beautifully connected to its essence while presenting a new possibility. The work carries a dynamic quality that implies movement, ironically suggesting that the end or closure exemplify in the knot, becomes a new beginning.

These works are available on my fine arts gallery. Every owner of a panel, gains lifetime access to our award winning film MARKME. Please contact me for information on bundles, or preview screenings of the film. You can installed this work in conjuntion with the film. I have ideas on how to make this possible in a gallery setting or even in your own home. I'm happy to brainstorm possibilities with any potential buyers, so feel free to reach out.
